Lenovo IdeaPad U260 ultraportable notebook with 12.5-inch screen

Lenovo announced new notebook with a MacBook Air design and magnesium-alloy outer shell unibody, namely Lenovo Ideapad U260. The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 will come touting a 12.5 inch display. No mention of a specific resolution, though the display was said to be of HD-resolution. Furthermore, the display is sporting an anti-glare finish.

The Lenovo Ideapad U260 powered by a Core i3 processor or Core i5 processor with an ultra-low voltage, RAM up to 4GB, a 320 GB storage capacity hard drive. Connectivity is provided by a Bluetooth 802.11b/g/n, WiFi module, whereas the sides focused on ultra-portable have two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, VGA, RJ45 and audio jack. The Lenovo IdeaPad U260 notebook has an interesting chassis and proving it’s portability with 0.71-inch thickness and 1.4 kg weight.


Lenovo IdeaPad U260, however, has some shortcomings, including the lack of an optical reader, an ExpressCard slot and a high-capacity battery. The included battery is in fact a 4-cell version that, according to Lenovo, you can tap the autonomy of 4 hours of continuous work, a figure lower than other models in the same IdeaPad U260 category. The Lenovo ultraportable will be available in the colors of orange and brown, will be equipped with Windows 7 operating system and its price would be around $ 1000.
